Summary:
The Director of Data Architecture will lead the design and execution of the company’s enterprise data strategy, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions that enable advanced analytics, business intelligence, and operational decision-making.
This role is critical to building and scaling a centralized data foundation for a ~$500MM, PE-backed, growing organization, including post-acquisition environments. The Director will architect and implement modern cloud-based data solutions, oversee data warehousing and integration, and establish architecture and governance standards that support long-term growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role, suited for someone who has operated in high-growth, imperfect environments and knows how to modernize fragmented systems.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute an enterprise data strategy aligned to business objectives and future-state architecture
  • Design and maintain enterprise data architecture, including data models, integration patterns, and architecture standards
  • Lead the development and optimization of cloud data warehousing solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability for analytics and reporting
  • Architect and implement centralized, trusted data tables to support accurate and scalable reporting across the organization
  • Design and implement new data feeds integrating core enterprise platforms, including Workday, SAGE, HubSpot, Ironclad, and ServiceNow
  • Partner closely with Finance, IT, and Business leaders to enable data-driven decision-making (CFO, CRO, COO-level engagement)
  • Oversee data migration, transformation, and post-acquisition data integration initiatives
  • Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, including data quality, metadata management, security, and compliance standards
  • Drive adoption of modern cloud data platforms and ETL/ELT frameworks (Snowflake strongly preferred)
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a small to mid-sized team of data architects and engineers
  • Balance architecture leadership with hands-on execution where needed

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data roles
  • 5+ years in a leadership or team-lead capacity
  • Proven experience designing enterprise data architectures in scaling, high-growth environments
  • Proven ability to unify disparate systems (ERP, CRM, ticketing, financial, operational)
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake and modern cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Strong experience with modern ETL/ELT tools and frameworks
  • Exposure to financial and operational data domains (MRR/ARR, forecasting, revenue modeling
  • Deep understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior business and technical stakeholders

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in PE-backed, multi-opco, or M&A-driven environments
  • Familiarity with BI and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
  • Experience with lakehouse architectures and real-time or near-real-time data processing
